In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:5.

When using the concept of the human body to illustrate how church works, the word of God points out something very important: we belong to each other, we are linked in a powerful way which requires us to notice one another, care for one another, and love one another with service. What is the powerful link which makes us become more than a social club or charity organisation?

It is in Christ that we are joined together, he is the head of the body (Ephesians 4:15-16, Colossians 1:18). Jesus makes us different. Because we draw close to Jesus, we automatically draw close to each other.
